The road of life is a pathway
on which we all must go
most certainly it goes somewhere else
a place we might not know

one foot in front of another
we march a step in time
where the future waits on yonder
another hill to climb

this road of life can be easy
most times it’s often hard
unforeseen things await each turn
one has to stay on guard
____
Jesus Christ had made provisions
equipping man for life
in making every step to count
overcoming any strife
____
His word is light for walking true
where darkness has no room
a guiding light which shows the way
in keeping one from doom
____
where faith is exercised each day
applied in every deed
then God rewards one for his faith
in meeting every need
____
for life’s road is a road of faith
a straight and narrow way
that leads to God through obedience
which finally ends some day?
